Moving Wordpress Faster

I’ve got a new script, but it has a very limited usage. I built it because I develop a lot of sites on my laptop using a local testing environment. In order to test my sites in VirtualBox with Internet Explorer, I have to use my local IP as the url for my Wordpress sites. Which means I end up changing the url and home address of the sites pretty often, sometimes directly through mySQL after I’ve already switched location. VirtualBox: Open Source Virtualization

VirtualBox is an Open Source x86 virtualization product available for OS X. Functioning along the lines of Parallels, but free, I’ve recently gotten XP up and running on my Intel based MacBook Pro and have Internet Explorer versions 5-7 open for testing my websites without having to boot up my old PC. In fact, now I can sell my PC ;). VirtualBox is simple, powerful and easy on the eyes. I had XP up and running in 30 minutes, and 27 of that was the actual XP install. I especially recommend this product if you’re a web developer who needs to test websites cross-platform. I’m currently working on figuring out how to approach a localhost test server in a way that will let me access it from both platforms while I’m working.
