FlickrMate turns 0.7
posted in
Geekery
I did some serious touching up on the image browser for the FlickrMate bundle. It now handles window resizing better (or at all) and the photoset command loads all photosets and lets you browse through them, including a set for photos not in a photoset. Download below and try it out, it’s fun…

FlickrMate with Image Browser
posted in
Geekery
Okay, I’ve added an image browser to FlickrMate. It’s almost ready for the Downloads page. I’ve just replaced the second tm_dialog popup with a custom nib that builds a preview url for each image and loads it on the fly when that image is selected in the browser. Seems to work pretty slick.Read the rest of FlickrMate with Image Browser...

Flickr, meet TextMate
posted in
Geekery
Well, you knew it was bound to happen once I started playing with the Flickr API. Here’s my Flickr bundle for TextMate. I have a feeling it will grow, and right now it’s not an image browser, just a text based list of your images and photosets. It allows for searching within your images (searches titles, descriptions and tags), narrowing down by photoset, and inserts an XHTML img tag with width, height, src and alt attributes. There’s also a proof-of-concept command that will insert a thumbnail hotlinked to a full size image…

The TextMate Subversion Bundle
posted in
Geekery
Now that you’ve got Subversion working and have a basic understanding of the command line, I’ll show you how I make life a little easier for myself. I experimented with a few graphical clients but actually found working with the TextMate Subversion Bundle to be the easiest way to go. If you need to update your bundle, see the instructions below, otherwise, jump to the second section!

Yahoo Linking Bundle
posted in
Geekery
A couple of my TextMate creations have been added to the bundle repository, including my Wikipedia commands and my Yahoo linking commands that let you search movies, news and web, provide the top 10 search results in a keyboard navigable popup, and then insert code for the selected link based on your current scope (thanks to Allan’s linking templates). To find these commands you’ll need the Hyperlink Helper bundle (see ‘Getting more bundles‘). If you have problems with any of the new commands, let me know, I have SVN access ;).

Geekery
The Backpack bundle was broken by the recent move of the plist library in TextMate. Here’s an updated version, available through svn (see the end of this post) as well.

Wordpress Theme Bundle Updated
posted in
Geekery
The Wordpress Theme Bundle has been updated to work with the latest version of TextMate (1.5.5 1368). A couple of commands have been cleaned up, but no major functionality has changed, other than it works now. If you’ve updated TextMate then the bundle is completely broken. This will fix it.

Autotag 3.1 Maintenance Release
posted in
Geekery
This is a maintenance release of the Autotag bundle. I updated it to work with my most recent cutting edge update of TextMate, changing the location of the plist library and the way that the dialog plugin is located. If your current version is working fine, I suggest you leave it alone. This update adds no new functionality. If you’ve updated TextMate and borked the Autotag bundle, this should fix it. Download: autotag3.1.zip.

Autotag Temp Fix
posted in
Geekery
If you’ve updated your SVN installation of the TextMate Support libraries recently, the Autotag bundle probably broke. According to the explanation here there is a fix on the way. For that reason I’m not rushing to release a fixed version of the bundle, at least not until I’m sure the change is permanent. For now, if you need to regain use of any of the commands, use this tip…

AutoTag 3 Released
posted in
Geekery
The AutoTag Bundle for TextMate is now up to version 3. I’ve fixed the sorting to be case insensitive for all commands, and added Yahoo suggestions. If you have any suggestions for improving the suggestions, I suggest you submit them. Download version 3 below or see the downloads page. The AutoTag Bundle requires the UTW-RPC plugin (see downloads page) for Wordpress (and Wordpress and the Ultimate Tag Warrior plugin.)
