  • 08.07.07 Patti posted in Random Thoughts

Patti SmithOn a personal note, I went to see Patti Smith last night. She’s one of my few heroes and my new reason for not being afraid to face getting older. 61 years old and as unruly a rocker as ever. Well, a little tamed down, but no more so than the 51 year old Iggy Pop I saw a few years back. But it made me realize that I can continue doing what I’m doing and just get better at it, that I can be twice as old as I am now and be twice as good. That’s something to look forward to, rather than the idea of just burning out and becoming a shell of your youth. I’m a bit of a cynic…

My scary morning encapsulated in eight pictures. I don’t get personal too often, but this was an exceptional morning for me, and I felt like sharing ;).

  • 02.05.07 Colder Still posted in Random Thoughts

Pretty darn coldI thought it was cold yesterday so I stayed home. It was 28 below with the windchill, and today it’s down to 31 below (-18° without the windchill). The record low is -24° in 1895. I figured, it’s warmer than it was in 1895, so I might as well go to the office. I’m telling everyone else to stay home today since they all have kids and school’s cancelled here…

  • 02.04.07 Regarding my pants and other news posted in Design, Web Design, Random Thoughts

First off, I sincerely apologize for the last two movies. My lack of decorum is disturbing. Not disturbing enough to make me delete them from the blog, though, as it’s probably about time I showed my true colors. That’s right, I’m a Minnes-oh-tan with a very lame sense of humor. ;-).

    Meanwhile…

  • 01.20.07 Lamenting Digg posted in Random Thoughts

I like the idea behind Digg. I’m not a big fan of how it pans out, though. I don’t submit my own articles anymore, but every once in a while one gets Dugg to the homepage and I’m unprepared for it. I had been working on my server today and had […]

  • 11.23.06 Happy Tofurkey Day! posted in Geekery, Random Thoughts, General

I’m a vegetarian. One of the fake ones that eats fish. I believe it’s called Pescatarian, but I’m often wrong. Anyway, I’m not a fan of Tofurkey. I’m also not a fan of big meals, nor a fan of traveling, nor familial stress… I’ve never enjoyed Thanksgiving all that much. […]

  • 11.22.06 What would G.G. Allin say? posted in Random Thoughts

I’m sure G.G. would say something about being last in line…(if you don’t get it, don’t google it. You’d regret it.) but this train was begging to be exposed and humiliated. So I present my latest photo gallery and the most recent in a long line of stupid things I do to […]

  • 11.13.06 Some days… posted in Random Thoughts

Despite all of the things I’ve gotten done today, I feel like I’m falling behind again. How do normal people ever keep up with all of this? I suppose normal people don’t quit their jobs and start their own businesses, taking on more clients than they can handle and working their ass […]

  • 10.25.06 It ain’t so bad. posted in Random Thoughts

So this is supposed to be a Geek/Design blog, and it’s usually more of one than the other at any given time, but today I’ve got to get just a little personal. Because telling you all about this crappy day is going to make me feel that much better ;-). First of all, I got […]

  • 10.17.06 All the news that’s fit to blog posted in Random Thoughts, Circle Six Happenings

I made my trek to Minneapolis with one of our largest clients yesterday to Art Direct a photo shoot with photographer Jim Arndt. We shot 50 model shots and 6 laydown stacks in 12 hours. That’s a little insane, but we pulled it off. I handle the catalog layout and art […]
