I'm sitting at an airport typing on my touch, so I can't test... When I get home on Tue. I'll send you a debut script so we can figure that out.

Only one possible bug/error, when trying to retrieve weather from Turin Italy i get an XML error. Maybe international locations are not available?

Thanx in advance!

I figured it out. For various and sundry reasons, MoodBlast uses a shell call to base64 encode the user/pass for Pownce. Something strange happens with the path environment variable and programs that are loaded at login. sh was handling the echo -n (and \c) differently than bash, so I forced it to bash and presto.

New release should be out in the next 24 hours.

brett - did as you suggested. But the error returns after I rebooted. Same thing when I deleted the preference file. It'll work the first time. But once I reboot, it'll give the error again.

That aside, MB is a good thing to have :)

I deleted my Pownce username/password, saved the settings, restarted MoodBlast and reentered the details and everything worked again. Have restarted MoodBlast and Pownce is still working.

It would appear that the issue was something to do with the MoodBlast preferences....

There is, by default, some info available in the console while MoodBlast is running. But it doesn't help much with this problem. I've actually had it happen to me, and it stopped as quickly as it started, which leads me to believe it may be something on the Pownce side.

Quick test for anyone having this problem: try erasing your Pownce user/pass in the preferences, save and quit MoodBlast, then start up and try setting up Pownce again. Let me know if that helps as it may help me narrow down the problem either way.

I too am getting the Pownce "Error posting error".
I am not behind a proxy and the Pownce posting did seem to work okay for a few days after the release of 3.1. If anything it looks like Pownce has changed the API or it is broken for some users.
I don't suppose there is a way of enabling a debugging mode in Moodblast?
