Could be a few things. Looking back, I can't recall why I felt the need to set the return to a variable (it's an abbreviated portion of a larger script), so you might just try taking out the "set results to" and just use "blast the_text". Let me know how it goes, I broke Quicksilver and never got around to fixing it, so I can't test anymore.

I'm getting a funny bug with this script upon compile:

SYNTAX ERROR: Expected end of line but found identifier.

"the_text" is highlighed in the line "set results to blast the_text"

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Are you using the beta? Version 3.1 is about 15 minutes from coming out, and I'm having no problems with any of the AppleScripts with 3.1b1 and up.

Quicksilver seems to execute the script just fine, and this appears in my console:

3/8/08 2:24:47 PM MoodBlast[259] -[sendBlastCommand performDefaultImplementation]
3/8/08 2:24:47 PM MoodBlast[259] -[sendBlastCommand sendBlast:]

But no apparent blasting goes on.
