Grand Hysteria (MoodSwing 3.4)

Note: This post is over 11 months old. You may want to check later in this blog to see if there is new information.

MoodSwing 3.4 is out and has some significant changes, including, I think, a great new icon. It took me a while to figure out how to preserve the icon on a script when distributing it, but I’m hoping I got it. I’m sure I’ll hear about it if I don’t. I added the ability to make calls in Skype while telling all of your other chat clients you’re on the phone and changed the username/password method to request them once and then store them in the Preferences folder with blowfish encryption. Let me know how it works out for you.

The new authentication system is *way* better. Strangely, though, I can post to Twitter with no problems but my Facebook status never updates even after Moodswing posts a Growl stating that it was.

If I enable debug all I get in the growl window is Null, the text I just tried to post, and “Facebook”.

    Any ideas?

That debug window indicates: no status, mood message, Facebook being the only client. That sounds right. And if it’s giving you a success growl then it’s not getting any major errors from facebook. Must be failing quietly. The whole Facebook update is a bit of a hack since they don’t have a real API, but their mobile interface was close enough to try… anyway, I’ll look at improving error output on that and see if I can figure out what’s going wrong. I’ll be in touch.

Have your say
