Looks like this is not working on WP 2.3. Worked perfectly on 2.1 and 2.2. Am I missing out on something?
UTW-rpc 1.5r: Fix for Fix
Note: This post is over a year old. You may want to check later in this blog to see if there is new information.

I decided not to compensate for the new changes in xmlrpc.php regarding the date/time format, but rather leave it up to the user to upgrade their Ruby install if it was broken. The conversation that details this and links to more resources can be found here. The version that compensates is still available, but for those who’ve managed to get their Wordpress 2.2.1+ blog working with TextMate without the plugin, version 1.5r is for you. Sorry for any confusion and my indecision. Details on the download page.

I haven’t had time to test on 2.3 yet. They added some built in tagging support and some changes are going to be required. I’ll try to take a look at it this weekend.

I’m unable to fetch tags either with Ecot/MarsEdit/TextMate. My WP is 2.2, and I’ve installed the plugin without any problem.
What can I do?

What tagging system are you using (Simple Tagging or Ultimate Tag Warrior)?

I’m using simple tagging. I’m sticking to MarsEdit for off-line editing, but no way to get the tags of previous entries, nor add tags to new.

Alright. We need to see the log, then. In your xmlrpc.php file near the top, make sure that logging is turned on (“1”). Then run a fetch post from MarsEdit. Look in the directory below the root of the site for xmlrpc.log and see if you can spot any UTW-RPC errors in there.

I don’t see the plugin being triggered at all. What blog type do you have set in the settings for the blog in MarsEdit. If not Movable Type, try with that. Also, do you have access to any php error logs for your server?

I tried WordPress and Movable Type. None of them seems to trigger the plugin.
I don’t understand *at all*
Have your say
