This brings back so many awesome memories! Shame on me, I haven't heard "Horses" in years. In the early 70's while still in high school I discovered New Wave or punk rock and the music for me over the following 5 to 10 years were life-changing! I stumbled upon your post while searching for a new Wordpress theme or design and yours was listed as one of 45 excellent blog designs. (nice btw) And Patti Smith's face caught my eye so I quickly clicked over to see. Oh how I would love to go back in time when my friends and I used to hang out playing albums all day long smoking cigs and god knows what else, listening to Patti Smith, The Ramones, David Bowie (of course), the Sex Pistols and The Clash, just to name a few. Or when we hung out in the underground bars in New Orleans to see local punk rock bands such as "The Normals". And then there was the time we saw the B-52's at "Ole Man Rivers" in Avondale (outskirts of N.O.) before anyone even knew who they were. There were only 50 people in the joint and we were dancing right up front and center of the stage to "Planet Clair". Well, thank you so much for the trip down memory lane! Gotta run, I have some updating to do on my playlist:)
