Hey Brett, you can already run in a “Unity” mode with Coherence in Parallels. You ought to give it a try if you haven’t already.
Projects In The Works

I’m kind of taking the 4th off and spending some time away from the radiation production factories that are my offices, but here’s an update on the projects that are underway…
Wordpress Bundle
I’m still plodding away at the TextMate Wordpress Bundle for Wordpress 2.2. There were a lot of advanced commands missing from the first bundle and a lot of changes in 2.2 that need to be accounted for, so that’s part of the process. The other part is that I’m trying to make it function like a palette, opening a dialog that lets you surf through the options quickly and double click to insert code without closing the window. For some commands there will be snippet alternatives, like bloginfo(), because it’s faster to type the snippet shortcut than to maneuver the menu. Anyway, besides traversing the Wordpress Codex in my free time, I’m working with the TM list to get the palette part figured out.
Jott2iGTD 2.0
I have a complete rewrite of Jott2iGTD almost ready for release. It adds metaphone guessing to the project/context guessing, better handling of just about everything, and adds a link to the original jott in the notes section. I’m working with Bartek right now to see if it’s possible to add a link into the links section through an external program, which would make it even nicer. Once I’ve determined whether or not that’s possible, I’ll release the new version.
UTW-rpc
This project is still on hold while the wp-xmlrpc figures out the date formatting for posts. See my earlier post on the subject.
VMWare Fusion Review
I just pre-purchased a copy of VMWare Fusion because I got all giddy about the “Unity” feature. Well, Unity isn’t working for me. I have a note into tech support and hopefully it will, because it would allow me to run Internet Explorer windows outside of the “box” and side by side with mac browers for testing. The biggest advantage so far over VirtualBox has been system-wide copy and paste and great keyboard/mouse switching. It should be even better when Unity works…
Have a happy 4th and don’t blow off any limbs. For those of you not in the States, have a great day like any other.

Were you using VMware Fusion Beta 4 and something besides 32-bit XP?
The Release Candidate has just been published, and it enables Unity for Windows 2000, Server 2003, and Vista (32- and 64-bit), along with fixing a ton of Unity bugs. Give it a try!

I’m using the RC with XP. No love on the Unity front. The window opens fine on the desktop, but the mouse has a crazy offset that makes it impossible to work with…
