Jott and iGTD

Note: This post is over a year old. You may want to check later in this blog to see if there is new information.

Just a note, I’ve worked out a few bugs and written a custom script since posting this. My next post will have a finished version and it will work more smoothly than the default script does for posting to iGTD from Jott. Check out Jott2iGTD!

I’m probably not the first person to do this, but I got Jott to work with iGTD

Jott to iGTDIf you don’t have a Jott account, sign up for one. Then just follow the instructions at the iGTD site for setting up a Mail.app rule to send todos to iGTD. Set the rule to check for a subject that begins with [Jott to Self]. Then set your Applescript to /Applications/iGTD.app/Contents/Resources/ruleMailSubjectToiGTD.scpt. In order to make life easier, open the aforementioned Applescript up in script editor and change the line set AppleScript's text item delimiters to ":" to set AppleScript's text item delimiters to "]" (just set the delimiter to a right square bracket). This will separate the [Jott to Self] from the rest of your message.

Because Jott puts your message in the subject after the [Jott to Self], Bartek’s script will work just fine with that minor adjustment. Have fun!
