Okay, I know my next post was supposed to be about Expanse, and the one after this will be, but I got a free copy of Yummy FTP from Macappaday this morning and I had to tell you about it. If you’re reading this early enough you can probably still get your own copy, so follow the link to Macappaday and see if you’re one of the 5000 people who will get it for free.
This FTP Client can do everything Transmit can do and it seems to do it faster with way less CPU load. It’s very cool. Suffix mapping, remote editing, syncing, shortcuts, watch folders, you name it. And all the server options, including SFTP, and the ability to send commands directly to the server and save transcripts of sessions. And you can just replace Transmit with Yummy FTP in all of your applescripts and TextMate commands because it’s fully Applescript and Automator compatible.
Now that I’ve tried it, I would gladly have paid the $25 for this app. It’s worth the money, so if you don’t get it for free, try it out anyway and see if it’s what you’re looking for.
