Happy Tofurkey Day!

Note: This post is over a year and a half old. You may want to check later in this blog to see if there is new information.

I’m a vegetarian. One of the fake ones that eats fish. I believe it’s called Pescatarian, but I’m often wrong. Anyway, I’m not a fan of Tofurkey. I’m also not a fan of big meals, nor a fan of traveling, nor familial stress… I’ve never enjoyed Thanksgiving all that much. But this year is going to be different. My family can’t get together (despite what I said, I will miss them), my in-laws are in Florida, and my wife and I have a day of rest. We’re going to cook a small meal, Qorn roast I think, with some of the traditional sides, and just relax. I’m not going to work, she’s not going to clean (much), in fact, I still don’t know exactly what we are going to do. Doesn’t matter. I already slept in 2 hours later than I have all week. That’s right, I got up at 5:30 this morning.

As you may have noticed, I finished my second release of the Backpack Bundle early, so I don’t even have that to work on today. Although, Allan Odgaard, the author of TextMate, did point out a recently added Bundle Style Guide in the TextMate Wiki, so I’ll probably be doing some revamping to conform to that. Lord knows I hate being different. And I really need to get the subversion account that Ale Muñoz was kind enough to provide me with so that I don’t have to keep overwriting all my files and confusing everybody. I got over 400 hits on the Backpack Bundle page yesterday and quite a few downloads, so I’m hoping to get some response. I should have written a help file and included an email address…

Anyway, a Happy Thanksgiving to all. Hopefully tomorrow will mean the beginning of increased business at The Urbane Animal as people stock up on Christmas presents for their pets. Although I was told by Aditi that the day after Christmas actually outranked the day after Thanksgiving for sales last year. Bargain hunters…
