Great work! Integrating TextMate with Backpack is incredibly useful and your plans of integrating with GTDalt are also fantastic. I appreciate the effort.

Here’s the first release of the TextMate to Backpack interface I’ve been working on. The first official release will be on a SubVersion account for your convenience. The following commands are included in this version:
Create Reminder
Quick Destroy Reminder
Quick Edit Reminder
Destroy Multiple Reminders
List Reminders by Date
Add as Note
View/Edit Notes
Change Backpack Account
plus Keychain integration. At this point this is a demonstration of what could be accomplished and I’m looking for ideas and suggestions, so please let me know what you think needs to happen next! I have my own ideas, but I’d like to dedicate my time to something that will be useful to people besides myself. I’m unselfish like that ;-).
Please note that there are a couple of commands that are suffering from a strange bug that makes them appear that they’ve frozen until you move your mouse. If you get a beachball after the dialog disappears, just move your mouse a little.
As a special, and slightly silly treat, I also threw together an applescript and a couple of commands for the blogging bundle that will insert your currently playing track or album from iTunes in your blog post. Just for giggles. I figured if Ecto could do it… TM better be able to.
If you’re not sure where to stick the script (/Library… ~/Library… Pristine Copy, etc.) just drag the “Determine Script Location” command to the bundle that you want the commands in (i.e. the Blogging Bundle) and run it.

Thanks for the encouragement! I’m hoping to get a few people on board with developing it but am still waiting to guage the overall interest, especially in the GTD community. I just discovered (I’m a little slow sometimes) that the Basecamp API has way better support for todo list item management and would probably be time better spent for full GTD integration… however, what I’ve got right now is perfectly useful with the free Backpack account and even more so with a $5/mo account—compared to the minimum $12/mo and up to $149/mo for Basecamp. We’ll see what happens next ;->.

I tried this, but I can’t make it login to my Backpack account.
Though I am unsure, is the token the same as my password?
