Some days…

Note: This post is over a year and a half old. You may want to check later in this blog to see if there is new information.

angstDespite all of the things I’ve gotten done today, I feel like I’m falling behind again. How do normal people ever keep up with all of this? I suppose normal people don’t quit their jobs and start their own businesses, taking on more clients than they can handle and working their ass off to try to build a reputation for half of what they should be paid. It takes a special breed.

I think putting the portfolio site together has really gotten me in the mood to build more portfolio pieces. I found myself immediately hungering for something new and exciting to put onto the site. Kind of like when I first started blogging. Just something to put out there and see who responds. That is, of course, the beauty of blogging. It’s a very large soap box on which to stand ;-).

The model portion of the St. Croix Spring ‘07 photo shoot starts tomorrow morning. We’re working with a new model and I have no idea how things are going to go. But I’m trying to be as prepared as possible…

About the picture: I walk past this place almost every day. They’ve been in business for ages. Who says you ever grow out of your angst?

    Your definitely not alone.

I came across a RFP for redoing a design for the Unversity of Michigan Department. I itched to start writing, but knew that I already was overbooked and would be working long…. hours… this week - and would just be my luck (both good/bad that I would get the job).

So I passed… instead I focus on trying to get projects done regardless of clients that drag their feet to infinite amounts.

I feel your pain. That is one of the many reasons I have yet to pursue my own full-time gig. Keeping things on the side (and mostly pro bono) allows me much more control over time lines and workload. Keep your head up and good luck with the shoot.
