We shipped off the first of the Slobberfest commercials today. I’m not completely satisfied with any part of how this is coming out, but it’s not as bad as it could be. First the artist we had lined up to illustrate the logo fell through and I had to come up with something without enough time. So I’m not happy with my final result. And then I wanted a more “themed” commercial, but we had so much going on that I wanted to make sure we had time to do a quality job on whatever we did tackle, so we cut our expectations down a little. But enough excuses. Here’s a little draft of what went off to Madison, WI today. The commercial has a 10 second taggable spot at the end, in this case filled with the Urbane Animal tag.
We’ve also got T-shirts on the way, posters, radio ads and a banner. Lots to be done, considering this event is on the 23rd of this month.
As a side note, I added a neat trick to the Circle Six Homepage. If you view the homepage with a browser set to 1000 pixels or wider, it will show you what’s new on the blog. If you shrink your screen down to less than 1000 pixels, the panel will disappear. Try it out. If you want to pull this off, it was done using the dynamic layouts technique covered at Particletree.
