I’ve gone and redesigned the blog again. The web 2.0 joke wore off for me. If anyone wants the buttons, you can have ‘em ;-). So here’s the new “fantasy” design. A Midsummer Night’s Dream inspired. Because it’s almost Fall and I miss Summer.
I’m very open to comments on the new design. Is it too unprofessional? Is it too dark? Is it just spectacular? Let me know. If you’re viewing it in Internet Explorer 6 or lower, I’ve done my best to give you a decent page, but you’re not getting the full effect. I’ll be making a lot of tweaks over the next week as time allows.
I started with the Hemingway theme for Wordpress and worked from there. I stole some ideas from K2, some code from the codex and put together a pretty decent theme. I built some custom blocks for the bottom bar, and hacked together a new loop for the different types of pages to try and consolidate things more like K2. I’m pretty happy with the code end of things. I’m never happy with the design…
