We don’t have a lot to look at in Winona. But I’ve been noticing some paintings rather permanently attached to telephone poles around town. Apparently they are the work of “Froseph”, or Joe with the afro, and are an anarchist statement of sorts. I have to smile at the precision with which the circle A is painted, and the way it stays so perfectly within the lines. I’m not going to rail on about the political implications of anarchy and anarcho-politics, but I’d just like to say, that no matter what the perceived quality of the “art”, it’s nice to see something besides litter and Todd Hoffman signage around Winona.

I need to get out more…haven’t seen any of these. Atleast he’s not spray painting the sidewalks like other young “anarchists” around Winona.
