Unless you’re Amazon, there doesn’t seem to be a great solution for e-commerce software. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I can’t find a single standards compliant, easy-to-use, customizable shopping cart system anywhere. X-cart? OsCommerce? Bah. And the canned shopping carts are even worse. It’s driving me nuts. I dished out cash for CRELoaded, thinking it would at least meet the needs of one of my clients, but ended up rewriting half of the thing just to get it to operate. Shoddy, shoddy work. And lousy tech support. Yes, this is a personal vendetta.
In the end, what I reaaly want is Amazon’s shopping cart system. It’s insanely ingenious and constantly morphing and improving. I should quit and work for them. No, I should buy them. Some day.
