A pat on the back.

Note: This post is over 2 years old. You may want to check later in this blog to see if there is new information.

I was called a genius and a hero today. I came up with a temporary fix to get the Extended Live Archives plugin working on some installations of WordPress that had certain bugs. You can see what I’m talking about now on our Archives page. I spent a whole Saturday trying to figure out why PHP file that returned valid javascript was throwing a 404 Not Found response header even though the file was serving fine. The response header was causing all browsers except for Safari to completely ignore the script. A couple minor tweaks to the WP core and it works like a charm. Problem is, I didn’t find the answer to the why question, I just found the workaround. So now I’m hoping the WP and ELA communities will pick it up and help me find the real solution. In the meantime, back to Circle Six work.
