I stayed up for most of the night. I had originally intended to catch up on some work so I could take the weekend off, but my head got foggy and I couldn’t get up the motivation or the creativity to work on the projects I needed to work on. So I ended up playing all night. I did go home for a couple of hours, shower, sleep on the couch… but the cats wouldn’t leave me alone and that Red Bull I drank was giving me nightmares so I got up. I set up a camera at 8pm and took pictures through the night out my dirty office window. I don’t know why. Here’s to Red Bull.
I did manage to solve a few problems with some javascripts. I even solved a problem with the Ultimate Tag Warrior plugin for Wordpress. Maybe I’ll get credit for that. Maybe that will make the whole night worthwhile.
And I did have someone ask me for the code for my contact form yesterday. I was a little embarassed, but glad to share. Embarassed because I’m not a programmer, and while I’m fully aware that my coding is a little sloppy, I don’t really know how to fix it. I guess that’s not true. I know what clean code looks like, and I appreciate it when I see it. I just tend to make a mess of it when I start debugging. And I leave comments all over the place that end up being more confusing than helpful. Anyway, it was flattering. A little more practice and I’ll make my mark in the programming world.

Sleep deprivation is the crux of total creativity, one wonders what sleep would do for you?
