Since posting the link to my contact form a couple of hours ago I have been flooded with emails and comments and even some marriage proposals. Sorry, ladies, I’m already happily married.
But I have to say, if I were to expend the energy on doing another contact form (which I know I will, given a few days to rebuild motivation), I’m sure I would use more tested libraries and functions for the back end communication, and simplify the code as much as possible. I would eventually like to make my own WordPress plugin out of whatever becomes of this project. Not because I think the world needs another contact form, or because I think I’ve done anything original here, I just think it would be a good step towards me becoming a better web developer. My first WordPress plugin. I can picture the flashing bulbs of the paparazzi now…
